Food has a remarkable way of bringing people together, forging connections, and fostering unforgettable memories. Growing up, my grandparents' house was my sanctuary, a place where I felt cherished and could embrace any dream. My beloved grandmother, Margert, was an extraordinary woman—a hardworking farmer's wife who raised four boys while my grandfather pursued his career as an over-the-road truck driver. Sadly, cancer took her from us when I was just thirteen years old. Although she held a special place in my heart, it is the memories of her cooking in the kitchen that truly resonate with me. The comfort and warmth of her homemade dishes are etched in my mind, and I would give anything to savor one more meal prepared by her loving hands.
As I entered the workforce, I found myself irresistibly drawn to the world of food and hospitality. People often question why I gravitate towards an industry that seems filled with chaos. It took introspection to comprehend my deep-rooted connection. It all leads back to the greatest hostess I have ever known—my Grandma Margert. Reflecting on the significance of those cherished memories, I realized the profound impact they had on shaping me as a person. The love and care she poured into making breakfast every morning exemplified the essence of hospitality. Regrettably, my children were never able to meet her, leaving a void in their lives.
With two decades of experience in the service industry, I have acquired extensive knowledge and training in its inner workings. However, my true passion lies in the moments spent with my family, where we create lasting memories together. Having spent the majority of my life in restaurants, I am driven to assist others in forging their own treasured experiences with loved ones. I am committed to supporting small businesses, recognizing the challenges they face and the ease with which they can falter. By gathering vital information and providing valuable insights, I strive to empower operators to optimize their resources and maximize their profits, enabling them to thrive and endure.
Welcome to my page, where we delve into the world of food. Let us embark on a journey together, celebrating the joy and significance that food brings to our lives.
